From Micro to Macro: Our move to Blogger

It may come as a shock to some, but not all blogging sites are created equal. After much thought and many sleepless nights, we've decided to make the jump from Tumblr to Blogger. There are a number of reasons for the change, but the main difference is content: we're a heavily text-based blog. We're here to share stories, events, profiles, etc. and we hope to share this information in order to engage our audience a little bit more with each post. This wasn't entirely possible with Tumblr.

Which is all well and good, but it offers us the opportunity to share very little content about what we're doing here at the San Antonio Humane Society. We also love to receive feedback from our readers, which was also very difficult to achieve from Tumblr (as it required users to sign up in order to comment or subscribe). So, long story short, here we are!

All previous (Tumblr) blog posts have been (painstakingly) transferred over by the new Communication Associate (me). There was so much copying and pasting, Blogger started to think I was a robot.
