Foster Needed for Tulip and Her 9 Young Blossoms

UPDATE: Tulip and her Pups Found Their Foster

Attention open hearts and open homes!
This is Tulip.
Tulip was brought to us by a samaritan roughly two weeks ago on a cloudy Monday as a very pregnant stray. Her ultrasound revealed her due date was fast approaching within a couple weeks and it was estimated her litter consisted of 4 or 5 puppies.

Attempts were made to find Tulip a foster parent prior to her due date; however, in the care of our awesome clinic staff, Tulip gave birth to 9 healthy puppies--it was a bit of an underestimation on our part!

Tulip is a friendly 2 1/2-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier mix who rarely wants to be without company. Motherhood suits her--perhaps TOO well.

Yes, these are MY  precious jelly beans.
Tulip takes her role as "mom" very seriously! Although she temporarily lived with a small dog and 2 cats prior to her time at the shelter, motherhood has (of course!) made her protective of her young sprouts. Because of this, we are seeking a foster family without small children or animals who are experienced with nursing moms and newborns pups.

We're hoping Tulip can rest and her puppies can grow and be weaned in a relaxing, warm, and caring environment! She deserves it.

As with all our foster pets, all supplies needed to care for Tulip and her puppies will be provided free of charge!

We love our foster parents!

And almost anybody can foster our needy pets. All you need is an open heart, an open home, and to be ready and willing to care for pets in need.

Pets who need foster families include those who may be too young to be adopted, such as orphaned newborns, sick or injured pets, pets who need more socialization, or nursing dogs/cats.
