Amidst the uncertainty of COVID-19, the San Antonio Humane Society (SAHS) is staying paw-sitive and doing our part. Our pets are happy and safe, and we are doing all we can to continue our mission and serve our community during this crisis.
We have been here for the animals since 1952 and that will not change. Just as our pets depend on us, we depend on you. As always, we need your help. With our adoptions and services suspended, we are facing financial hardship. More than ever, your support will help us help our pets. Please consider making a donation to our San Antonio Humane Society Emergency Fund today.
In the meantime, we will be here. We will continue to follow CDC recommended protocols, sanitize our facility and care for the pets we all love so much. As of today, we have more than 40 pets in our shelter and more than 100 pets in foster care, which we continue to support. We will ensure they are safe, loved and kept entertained with fun enrichment activities while we endure this difficult time.
As information is being updated daily, we will continue to monitor recommendations from national and local officials. Although we may continue to face new challenges, with your support, we can face them together. As people ask us how they can help, we kindly ask them to please support our community and give local – donating directly is the most impactful way to help right now.
Please contact us with any questions you may have, stay safe, and rest assured we will continue to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our pets, staff and community. As always, we thank you for your kindness and generosity.
